Joint Pain Treatment
Find Relief from Your Joint Pain

What’s Actually Causing Your Joint Pain
Joint pain can come from a lot of different places, and figuring out which one applies to you is the first step toward real relief. For some patients, it’s wear and tear that builds up over years of physical work, farming, or repetitive movement. For others, it’s an old injury that never fully healed, like a knee that was never quite the same after a fall on ice or a shoulder that’s been off since an old sports injury.
Misalignments in the spine and surrounding joints can also throw off how weight and movement get distributed through the body, which puts extra strain on joints that were never designed to carry that load. Add in things like poor posture from long hours at a desk or in a tractor cab, and it’s easy to see why joint pain tends to show up in more than one place at once.
Left unaddressed, joint pain usually doesn’t stay the same. It tends to get worse, limit your range of motion further, and make everyday movements like climbing stairs, kneeling down, or reaching overhead more difficult over time.
At Mount Logan Chiropractic, we help patients throughout Cache Valley get to the root of what’s causing their joint pain instead of just masking the symptoms.

Commonly Asked Joint Pain Questions
Is joint pain always caused by a problem with the joint?
Not necessarily. Joint discomfort can sometimes be related to surrounding muscles, connective tissues, nerves, movement patterns, or other areas of the musculoskeletal system. A thorough evaluation can help determine what may be contributing to the discomfort.
What joints can a chiropractor treat?
Chiropractic care can address discomfort involving many areas of the body, including the spine, hips, knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and other joints. The appropriate approach depends on the source and location of the joint pain.
Does joint pain require chiropractic adjustments?
Not every patient with joint pain will need the same treatment. Mount Logan Chiropractic develops individualized treatment plans based on the patient’s symptoms, health history, examination, and specific needs.
Can massage therapy help with joint pain?
Massage therapy may be useful when muscle tension or soft-tissue discomfort contributes to joint pain. Mount Logan Chiropractic works alongside massage therapists at Spring Creek Medical Center as part of a comprehensive approach to musculoskeletal care.

How We Treat Joint Pain
When you come in for joint pain, Dr. Garvert starts by looking at the full picture, not just the joint that hurts. That means evaluating your spine, your posture, and the way your joints are moving together to find out what’s actually driving the pain.
From there, we build a treatment plan around chiropractic adjustments that restore proper joint alignment and mobility, taking pressure off the areas that have been overcompensating. This often includes soft tissue work to loosen up the muscles and connective tissue around the joint, along with targeted exercises to rebuild strength and stability where it’s needed most. For patients dealing with more involved joint issues, we also coordinate care with the physical therapy team at Spring Creek Medical Center to round out the recovery process.
Preventing Joint Pain from Coming Back
Joint pain that’s been treated once can come back if the underlying mechanics that caused it in the first place are never corrected. Ongoing chiropractic care helps keep your spine and joints properly aligned, which spreads movement and impact more evenly across the body instead of overloading any single joint.
We also work with patients on posture habits, movement patterns, and simple strengthening routines that support joint health long term, especially heading into the physically demanding stretches of the year like calving season, harvest, or ski season up the canyon.
Getting Back to the Life You Want to Live
Joint pain has a way of shrinking your world without you noticing. You stop taking the dog on longer walks around Adams Park, you sit out the family hike up Green Canyon, or you start dreading yard work you used to enjoy. Our goal isn’t just to reduce the pain you’re feeling, it’s to get you back to doing the things that make Cache Valley living what it is, whether that’s working cattle, chasing grandkids around the yard, or getting back out on the golf course at Logan River.
Through consistent chiropractic care, most patients see real improvement in both pain levels and range of motion, without relying on long-term medication or invasive procedures.
